MENG Huan graduated from the Conducting Department of the China Conservatory of Music with Professor WU Lingfen and Associate Professor WANG Yan.

He has served as Assistant Conductor of the Artistic Director of Music and Opera Director LÜ Jia, Conductor CHEN Zuohuang and ZHANG Guoyong in the NCPA opera commissions The Ballad of Canal, The Chinese Orphan and Xishi since 2012. He also served as the Chorus Master in the NCPA opera commissions Sunrise, FANG Zhimin and The Long March. In recent years, he has worked closely with the NCPA Chorus to carry out concert performances such as “My Motherland and Me”, “Romantic Night”, “NCPA Chinese and Foreign Opera Classical Choral Concert” and many other special concerts; serving as Chorus Master of several large-scale choral concerts, such as “12 Symbolic Animals” Symphony Concert of NCPA Chorus Festival 2015, and “Eternal Monument”, the Special Concert to Mark the 80^th Anniversary of the Victory of the Long March in 2016. He also participated in various art educational activities of the NCPA, directed and interpreted many weekend concerts, and participated in public performance “NCPA May Festival”, “NCPA August Chorus Festival” Master Forum and the NCPA’s “100 Welfare Performances”, etc.

He also participated the following activities as the guest conductor: the chamber opera Farewell, Cambridge, the opera Song of Youth, which created by the China National Opera & Dance Drama Theatre and Peking University Opera Research Institute and to participate in the Outstanding Drama Performance of the Ministry of Culture in 2010. In 2012, he directed the Fujian Symphony Orchestra’s Nature Sounds of Yue Opera – the Symphony Concert of the Famous Yue Opera Master LI Min’s Classic Works to tour Fujian and Hangzhou. Since 2015, as a choral master, MENG Huan has cooperated with the Xi’an Symphony Orchestra in the operas including Tosca, Le Nozze di Figaro, Turandot and Carmen, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 “Die Auferstehung”, concert opera Candide and Leo Nucci Recital with the Xi’an Symphony Orchestra.
