What are we aiming for?
Our aim at National Centre for the Performing Arts is to cement our reputation as the most dynamic arts venue in China and become a theatre worthy of worldwide recognition. In line with our philosophy of "being national, being artistic and being international", we want to popularise the arts within China through our pioneering educational programs, play host to leading-edge live performances and serve as the main platform for cultural exchanges between China and the rest of the world.
How will we achieve this?
National Centre for the Performing Arts is a non-profit institution which every year presents 700 high-quality performances, 300 free concerts and numerous educational programs, including lectures by renowned artists. The centre is accessible to people from all walks of life, and so we offer heavily subsidised tickets for many of our performances. We also pay for the transportation costs, accommodation and performances of visiting art troupes so we rely on fund raising to ensure our subsidy policy is sustainable.
Where do you come in?
Donations through our corporate sponsorship initiatives or our NCPA Patrons Program ensure we can continue to provide tickets at reasonable prices and fulfill our obligation of bringing performance arts to the whole of society.
