Our philosophy, which governs our approach to everything we do, is grounded in three guiding principles: to be national; to be creative; to be international. ● To be national is to be rooted in service to the general public As a public funded cultural facility, the National Centre for the Performing Arts strives to serve the cultural needs of the Chinese populace. The Centre's has been tasked by the central government to help raise the cultural awareness and enrichment of all sectors of Chinese society. To help achieve this objective the Centre operates a wide-range of education programs that includes arts appreciation classes, expert lectures and special cultural exhibitions.
To ensure we meet the goals of this guiding principle we will: 1. Develop a pricing policy that caters to the income levels of all audiences; 2. Provide concerts and performances in a variety of genre to meet the differing interests and tastes of China cultural mosaic; 3. Provide lectures and exhibitions to enable more members of the public to access the highest level of art education and improve cultural awareness and enrichment; 4. Establish four membership clubs that connect people directly to the Centre based on their area of interest; 5. To reach the widest possible audience, the Centre will use modern telecommunication technologies, to broadcast various concerts and performances across the nation; 6. The management and staff of the National Centre for the Performing Arts will provide considerate, polite services equally to all members of the public. ● To be creative is to be rooted in Chinese culture while offering a stage to the world's best The National Centre for the Performing Arts is devoted to the promotion of excellence in Chinese performance art. Its goal is to encourage international cultural cooperation and exchanges, and offer Chinese audiences a window onto the world's most creative, leading-edge performance artists.
To ensure we meet the goals of this guiding principle we will: 1. The Centre's ultimate challenge is to present both original and classic works that exemplify the most creative forms of human artistic expression; 2. The Centre has established a 19-member Artistic Advisory Committee, made up of the most accomplished performing artists in China, who will guide the work the Centre's three Artistic Directors to ensure the most creative domestic and international works are offered; 3. The National Centre for the Performing Arts'architecture, interior and public areas are designed to stimulate creativity and thoughtful expression.
●To be international is to be integrated into the global artistic community The National Centre for the Performing Arts will bring the world's leading performance artists to Beijing. The goal is to expand cultural awareness and appreciation, increase friendship and understanding and to ultimately create a more harmonious world.
To ensure we meet the goals of this guiding principle we will: 1. The National Centre for the Performing Arts will offer its stages to internationally renowned art organizations and artists as it welcomes all elite members of the global performing arts family; 2. The National Centre for the Performing Arts will showcase China's most creative and talented performers, to help them meet their aspiration of performing at other elite venues around the world.
