| A complete range of support facilities is available at the National Centre for the Performing Arts. There are five rehearsal halls interspersed between the three theatres. The general rehearsal hall can be used for general or full dress rehearsals; one of the two medium-sized rehearsal halls has a resilient floor specially designed for dancers and martial arts actors in traditional Chinese operas; the other is acoustically designed and adjustable for orchestra rehearsals; the two small rehearsal halls complete the set. In addition, every theatre is equipped with dressing rooms, a conductor's lounge, music rehearsal rooms, performers' waiting halls, changing rooms, prop rooms, laundry rooms and lounges for actors. Altogether the Centre has 72 dressing rooms, 18 VIP dressing rooms, 23 music rehearsal rooms, and ten VIP rooms. Stage technical facilities include sound control booths, lighting control rooms, lighting modulation rooms, audio equipment rooms and camera rooms. Also available is a general audio-visual production centre with a large recording studio and a live recording studio as well as television broadcast units and AV postproduction facilities. Our large set design workshop provides set equipment, scenery and prop repair bays, a set warehouse and two elevator platforms for container transport. |
