East of the golden Opera House lies the white expanse of the Concert Hall. Exuding an air of serenity and refinement, it is the venue for mainly large symphonic and national music performances.
The auditorium comprises floor seating and two circular balconies that can contain an audience of 2,019. The stage - 24 metres wide and 15 metres deep - can accommodate an orchestra of up to 120 musicians. Three elevator platforms serve the stage and a separate elevator platform at the front can hoist a piano. The surrounding walls, which appear to be a massive piano keyboard, are scientifically configured in size and shape with pinpoint accuracy to enable a symmetrical, homogeneous and gentle acoustic diffusion and reflection. Behind the stage, the chorus section can accommodate choirs up to 180 performers.

The Concert Hall is home to a giant pipe organ, the "Hall Guardian", which is believed to be the largest of its kind in China with 94 stops and an impressive array of 6,500 pipes. It was constructed by renowned German pipe organ company, Johannes Klais, which also made the Cologne Cathedral's pipe organ.
The irregular white abstract relieves on the ceiling of the Concert Hall resembles a rolling desert and are sometimes reminiscent of a tide-scoured beach. However, they also serve a practical purpose in acoustic diffusion. The acoustic effect is also enhanced by a tortoiseshell-style central sound panel suspended from the ceiling, which radiates sound throughout the auditorium.
With a reverberation time of up to 2.2 seconds, the Hall embodies an ideal integration between architectural and acoustic aesthetics.
It also features two conductors' lounge suites, two single dressing suites, four single dressing rooms, six medium-sized dressing rooms, seven large dressing rooms for orchestra and choir members, ten piano-rehearsal rooms and one rehearsal room for organists.
