Conductor: Bian Zushan

The renowned Chinese conductor Bian Zushan is member of the 4th and 5th council of Chinese Musicians Association (CMA), first Chair of China National Symphony Orchestra Federation, Vice Chair\ of Symphony Enthusiast Society of CMA, special council member of Chinese Society of Film and Music. As a national first-grade conductor, he is granted by the State Council with special government allowance.

Over the 46 years of his career, Bian has held the baton of domestic and foreign ballets including Giselle, Swan Lake, Tears in the Fountain, Sylvia, Romeo and Juliet, The Red Detachment of Women, The Mermaid, Blessing, Lin Daiyu, and Concubine Yang. He has led the China debut of Symphony No. 27 by Nikolai Miaskovsky, Symphony No. 7 by Dmitri Shostakovich, Symphony No. 5 by Alexander Glazunov, Historical Symphony Suite and East and West Symphony by Heinrich Schweizer. His successful collaborations with Chinese top orchestras the Central Orchestra (the predecessor of CNSO), China National Symphony Orchestra (CNSO), China Philharmonic Orchestra (CPO), China Film Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Broadcasting Symphony Orchestra, Tianjin Symphony Orchestra, Hebei Symphony Orchestra, Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra of CPO, and Jiangsu Symphony Orchestra, etc.

In recent years, Bian Zushan has conducted performances in countries and regions including the U.S., U.K., Russia, Philippine, Indonesia, Switzerland, Japan, as well as Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and won great acclamation and high praise everywhere.
