Bao and Luo in Longtan is an item of Peking Opera consisting of Jiaxing Prefecture, Reconciliation of Bao and Luo in Longtan and Village of Four-Heroes. The item is full of Chinese acrobatic fighting and intricate plots performed by almost all the roles from the Peking Opera House of Beijing. The script used for this performance is an edition revised by the Peking Opera House. For this performance, well known artists Wang Jinlu and Tan Yuanshou are invited as advisers and famous Peking Opera actors Shi Hongtu and Li Jingde as art directors. Some outstanding actors and actresses from other troupes are also invited to join the performance. Excellent young actors and actresses have displayed their youthful vitality and presented outstanding performance with the help of veteran artists.
　
Synopsis
After hearing that Wang Lun was seized the head of Jiaxing Prefecture by abusing his father's influence, Bao Ci'an sent Pu Tianpeng and Pu Tiandiao to assassinate Wang Lun. Immediately, Bao Ci'an headed his soldiers to raid the execution ground to rescue them. He defeated the government troops, captured Wang Lun and returned successfully to Longtan. Luo Hongxun, together with Yu Qian, rushed to Huajiazhai Village to see his mother and also complete his marriage. When they were seen by Ba Jie, son of Ba Xin, at Bajiuzhai Village, Ba Jie wanted to grab Hua Bilian and take her to wife but in vein. Then he wanted to kill Luo Hongxun for he was jealous of him. Luo Hongxun killed Ba Jie accidentally in self-defense. Ma Jinding (Grandmother Jiu) wanted to take revenge for her son Ba Jie, and chased Luo Hongxun to Hu Li's Inn, but was stopped by Hu Li who belonged to the same sect with Luo and gave him a helping hand. After all of these happened, Bao Ci'an, in company with Hua Zhenfang, Xiao Yue, Hu Lian and Hu Li, attempted to smooth over their dispute, but Grandmother Jiu gave a pretended agreement. After Bao's another attempt to mediate them, Grandmother Jiu pretended to agree and asked Luo Hongxun to dress in mourning garment for his son. At the same time, she laid an ambush behind the curtain at the mourning hall in order to kill Luo. Hu Li already made preparations and saved Luo out of danger in a dog fight. Through Bao's painstaking and repeated persuasion, both parties agreed to reconcile. As a result, Luo Hongxun accepted Ba Xin and his wife as his parents-in-law. Liao Xichong headed Zhu's brothers to give an open challenge in Yangzhou City and was defeated by Bao Ci'an, Luo Hongxun and some others. During the fight, Zhu Biao was made blind by the kick of Bao Jinhua. So they became enemies. Luo Hongxun was framed as a robber by He Shilai. When, he was sent to the Capital passing by the Village of Four Heroes, he was kidnapped by Zhu's brothers of Yangzhou City, his defeated adversaries in the open challenge. Yu Qian rushed to his rescue but was stopped from entering the village. Afterward, with the help of a monk named Xiao Yue, as well as Bao Ci'an, his daughter and son-in-law, he succeeded in getting into the village in the dark and saving Luo Hongxun out. Luo, with the help of Hua Zhenfang and Bao Ci'an, defeated Liao Xichong and Zhu's brothers.
