The performance is a production jointly produced by NCPA, Sadler's Wells London and Beijing Xiaoxing Ballet Art Development Foundation. It is NCPA's debut of ballet production which is composed of nine works with different styles, including numerous latest neoclassical and contemporary works specially committed for the Dance Festival. All these works come from some noted choreographers including Edwaard Liang, Christopher Wheeldon and Russell Maliphant.
Three unique world prestigious dancers are invited to dance in the performance, they are the principal Chinese dancer Yuan Yuan Tan from the San Francisco Ballet, Taiwanese dancer Fang Yi Sheu — the Asian follower of contemporary dance master Martha Graham, the principal dancer Ashley Bouder from the New York City Ballet. They will dance a crossover performance by blending the features of classical ballet, contemporary ballet and contemporary dance, demonstrating various charms of dancers under different background through their distinguished characters and postures.
